There's been a blizzard here in the Northeast USA yesterday and today. This is giving us all a chance to slow down and meditate on what is needed for our lives in these days between Christmas and the beginning of the new year.
I like this time of year. It is quiet and a good time to hunker down and take stock. Decide to end old ways that aren't working and begin new ways with promise for the future.
Blizzards force us to pause and think. Prayer is a way of pausing and thinking with God. Asking for God's help to end the things that need ending and begin things that need beginning is a good thing to do in prayer.
